The Outlander Sport's interior was built with a combination of high-quality plastics, fabrics, and leather. Mitsubishi claims it to be the first SUV to have next-generation seats in a new concept that combines soft comfort and firm support for sporty driving. The driver's seat has a unique surface that allows the driver to slide back and forth for increased comfort in long drives. The interior has two seats instead of one, accommodating seven passengers with comfort.
The rear seats are comfortable for long trips, and the headroom is ample for all passengers. They are available in Louisiana LA Black, Louisiana LA White, Louisiana LA Blue, Louisiana LA Brown, and Louisiana LA Light Gray. The seats are designed with an added function that allows users to switch between sports and comfort modes. The power seat feature adjusts the settings according to the driver's preferred position.
The Exterior

The car's exterior has a sharp and bold look while maintaining its aerodynamic efficiency. The vehicle has a profile based on the second generation but with considerably upgraded front and rear fascias. The current model is equipped with an aluminum hood that improves aerodynamics, lowering fuel consumption. They also made the exterior design functional and efficient as a space-saving vehicle. The rear has three windows that extend the length of the greenhouse, a design that is not seen on any other SUV in the North American market.
The Outlander Sport features a see-through rear bumper designed to improve pedestrian safety. The Outlander Sport has the Active Sports Suspension package on the Grand Touring trim. The vehicle comes standard with a 2.0L SOHC MIVEC engine. The engine produces 167 horsepower 125kW at 6000rpm limited and 163lb/ft of torque at 4800rpm. It is paired with a CVT transmission which shifts smoothly, with many customers referring to it as peppy and responsive.
One can pair it with a 6-speed manual transmission. Fuel economy is rated at 8.5/10 miles per gallon city/highway.
